Therapy with Ariel

Sometimes life looks “fine” from the outside, but inside you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. You might be carrying anxiety, grief, relationship stress, or the weight of familiar dynamics that keep resurfacing, no matter how hard you try to change them.

Therapy is a space where you don’t have to hold everything on your own. When experiences are met with care, curiosity, and respect, new understanding and change can begin to unfold.

I work with individuals and couples who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, and who may be dealing with relationship stress, grief, or big life changes. Together, we’ll look at what’s been shaping your experiences and reactions, so you can begin to feel more settled in yourself and more connected in your relationships.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and attuned. I integrate traditional psychotherapy approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral, depth-oriented, and person-centered work, alongside mindfulness and somatic-informed practices. I see therapy as a partnership. We’ll move at a pace that feels supportive, staying curious about what’s emerging and adjust our work together as your needs and goals evolve.

Working with Individuals

Individual therapy can be helpful when you want space to better understand yourself, navigate change, or tend to emotional challenges with support. Therapy offers an opportunity to develop greater clarity around what you’re experiencing, explore what matters most to you, and build a more grounded relationship with yourself. My intention is to support change that feels meaningful and sustainable, helping you feel more at ease, more present, and more aligned with who you are and how you want to live.

Working with Couples

Relationships can be deeply meaningful and deeply challenging. Many couples come to therapy feeling caught in cycles of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding that are difficult to shift without support.

I work with couples navigating communication challenges, emotional disconnection, trust repair, grief or loss, life transitions, and periods of uncertainty within the relationship. Therapy offers a space to slow things down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin to relate to one another with greater clarity and compassion.

My approach to couples therapy is collaborative and relational. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that shape your dynamic, strengthen emotional security, and support more honest, connected communication—without focusing on blame or quick fixes.

Working with Children & Teens

I bring over twenty years of experience working closely with children and teens, first as a vocal coach and expressive arts mentor, and now as a therapist. Across that time, I’ve seen how young people thrive when they feel respected, understood, and supported in developmentally appropriate ways.

I work with children and teens navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, school-related stress, identity exploration, neurodivergence, and life transitions. My approach is relational and attuned, with a strong emphasis on building trust.

Many young people don’t yet have words for what they’re feeling, or may feel overwhelmed by traditional talk therapy alone. When appropriate, I incorporate mindfulness-based and expressive arts approaches, such as music, drawing, songwriting, or singing to support emotional expression, connection, and confidence-building. These approaches are always optional and guided by each child or teen’s comfort level and readiness.

Parents are supported throughout the process, with care given to collaboration, transparency, and helping families better understand and respond to their child’s needs.

Free 15-Min Consultation

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation for new clients. This is a simple way to connect, ask questions, and get a sense of whether we’re a good fit. We’ll briefly talk about what you’re looking for support with, my approach, and logistics like scheduling.

If you feel ready, you’re welcome to reach out, whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child/teen, or your relationship. I’ll do my best to respond within 1 to 2 business days.
